Mind, Body, and Soul Exercise

v Start each day with a brisk thirty-minute walk, Pilates, or yoga exercises. Begin and end each regimen with stretches (and don't forget to drink room temperature water for hydration following your exercise). If you really want to add a boost to your day, end it with another brisk thirty minute walk, this helps to keep blood sugar level and blood pressure regulated.

v Take a hot bath or relax in a steamy whirlpool. Water seems to have special healing powers and helps to ease stress, relax tight muscles, and totally rejuvenate the body. You may notice your skin becoming more vibrant, soft, and supple (it's not your imagination). It is also known to have positive effects on the lungs, heart, stomach, and endocrine system by stimulating nerve reflexes on the spinal cord. Again, drink plenty water for hydration and balance.

v Perform a serious kind act for someone, perhaps a complete stranger. Offer to assist an elderly person with their groceries, or pay someone’s grocery bill at checkout, offer to walk your neighbor’s dog or maybe clean the snow off their car after a heavy snowfall. Doing something nice for someone is always a great mood booster. Try it, you just might like it. One single act of kindness can generate love action throughout the earth’s four corners. Someone very special and dear to my heart told me years ago, thought is the cause of it all," and it's true.

v Read an inspirational novel, self-empowerment book, or perhaps a love story. If you’re seeking more in-depth holistic exercises with the use of energy, I recommend, “Hands of Light,” by Barbara Ann Brennan. This is a guide to healing through the human energy field, a fantastic book for those looking for more discipline in self-healing.
